Alondra Melendez '15 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball at the age of 9 when I use to live in Puerto Rico. I have tried to enjoy many other things like playing guitar or painting but I found that what I'm truly passionate about is volleyball. I've been playing on the Varsity High School volleyball team since I was a freshman. I am always working hard not only in games, but in practices too and in school also. I feel a lot of pressure because I feel like it is imperative for me to do well in academics and in volleyball because I have a little sister and I want her to have someone to look up to. Like I said before, I am very passionate about the game and I would love my dream, of going to a good college and studying what I want to study, to come true.
