Sydney Jaco '18 Recruiting Profile

I started playing volleyball at the age of 8, when all three of my older sisters started. My first year of club was when I was 11, I played for SVA and was on their 14's team. I then played for MAV, Coastline, and Wave for the rest of my club years. Once I got to high school I was on varsity every year and a starter. I was made captain my sophomore, junior, and senior year. Now I am a sophomore at  State College of Florida. My freshman year I finished with 784 digs, making it a record at my school, putting me second in the nation for digs. I had a 7.06 for digs per set, ranking me #1 in the nation. Named All-Suncoast First Team, Suncoast All Academic Team, and FCSAA All-Academic Team. Four-time FCSAA Defensive Player of the week, one time NJCAA Defensive Player of The Week, and was a member of the FCSAA 25 dig club 16 times. My life's focus ever since our family put a volleyball net in our backyard was to play. I've always pushed myself and had amazing coaches and sisters to help me get to where I am today. I would love to continue this journey and transfer after this year at SCF.
