I live in a very small and rural town called LaBelle. Although it's somewhat in the middle of nowhere, I still managed to fall in love with the game of volleyball.
In fifth grade, my best friend was following in her older sister's footsteps by playing club volleyball. Our mother's were colleagues at the local elementary school, so she decided to begin to teach me how to play. At first, it was horrible and frustrating because I was awfully confused and uncoordinated, but the more I began to practice, the more interested in the game I became. We attended numerous volleyball camps together along with some of my other friends we soon began to improve greatly throughout middle school and have continued to play ever since.
I have numerous years of travel/club experience and I definitely believe that is has payed of in the long run. This exposure has allowed me to become very comfortable on the court, has helped my "Volleyball IQ", has helped push and motivate me to maintain my academic goals/challenges, and so much more.
I am a very dedicated and hardworking individual, who absolutely loves the game of volleyball. While my main focus has primarily been on this sport, I have been taught by my parents that academics come first, and should be prioritized. I have been told many times that I am a coachable athlete and leader. I try to be a role model as best as I can, on the court and in the classroom, and try to encourage and uplift my teammates and peers. I am very driven and dedicated and hope to continue my career in college.
