Eva Colon '25 Recruiting Profile

Hello, I'm Eva Colón. I am a 5'9, Outside hitter for OTVA Justin 17's Nationals Team. I started playing Volleyball when I was 12. I am a Junior at Sunlake Highschool. My goal is to play college volleyball. I believe I would be a great candidate for a college team because I'm motivated, hardworking, and love being around my team.  I was selected to be one of the Captains for my previous Club team. That meant a lot to me because I love being a leader for my team and always get them motivated. I also strive to be one of the hardest working players. 

Having grown up in Florida, I am also a Member of SSOVA and AVP Beach.  I am just getting into playing tournaments but would also like to be considered as a beach player for the next level.

I have held a job on top of school and Volleyball for 4 years now working at Happy Tails Pet Resort and Spa.  I love animals, and hope to study Veterinary Sciences. 

 On the academic side although school is pretty tough I am always on top of my work and have received awards such as Honor Roll for my academic work. I work really hard to keep my GPA up to get in a good college. I want to attend college to not only work hard in the classroom but also push myself on the court. I am open to find the right college for me that will make me happy as well as somewhere I can reach my goals. I hope to become a great role model for my friends, family and teammates. I hope to make them proud.
