“Volleyball, I don’t even know how to begin to describe how much you have done for me.” Before moving to the US from Spain, I was a dancer and continued that 2 years after I moved here. I started to not feel as connected with dance as I used to and that’s when my friend changed my whole perspective. One day, in the beginning of 6th grade, she asked me to go with her to tryout for the middle school team. I was doubtful as to whether it was the right choice of going with her since I had never even touched a volleyball in my life. I’m glad that I chose to go with her since it completely changed my life for the better. I had found something that I enjoyed doing and saw myself performing in the future. 

I feel very passionate about every little piece of volleyball, whether its playing time or team bondings. I used to be quite shy when meeting new people, but volleyball has helped me come out of my shell and become more open. I’m excited to have the chance of expanding my knowledge and skills when playing college volleyball. I’m very understanding, coachable, and a good listener. Even though volleyball is my passion, school always comes first and I would do anything to keep a good GPA throughout my education. If I’m in your team, I am always going to give it my all in every aspect.
