My name is Kelsey Cartwright and I am a Libero, Outside Hitter and Defensive Specialist. I started on my Freshmen Team, and had multiple playing opportunities on my JV team my sophomore season. No sophomores were able to play at the varsity level during my sophomore season. My Junior school year I began by playing Libero, but have since switched to RS. I was also one of the team captains. Our Varsity team consists of all seniors, with one sophomore setter. I will graduate high school in the year 2020 at Matanzas High School, my first year attending, and my dream is to continue playing volleyball at the collegiate level.
I have played volleyball for 2 years in middle school, my Freshmen and Sophmore and Junior years in High School, and I’m playing my 5th year of Club Volleyball, two of these years on full travel teams, one year I decided to play limited travel. I have competed in the AAU National Volleyball Finals in 2016 in Indianapolis Indiana, and competed in the. AAU Nationals in June, 2017, in Orlando Florida. I bring to these teams dedication, a strong work ethic, and the desire to grow with the team and win championships.
I am looking for a University that balances my intended field of study, nursing, with my court play. Ideally I'd like to make an immediate impact on a team. Financial assistance is very important to my family in my college selection.
