My name is Leyan Khdair.
I have always been a competitive and hard working person. I strive to do my best in whatever and whenever I can. I started playing volleyball after a lot of my peers, so I was behind. That did not stop me from pushing myself and playing the best that I can. I understand the feeling of being the black sheep, the person on the team thats not quite at a good level yet. Because of this, I love helping our my teammates and giving advice when I can. When I have a goal in mind, I am dedicated to reaching it. I am coachable and adapt to anything a coach will tell me. I do not let others bring me down, and I take criticism and turn it into advice. Despite many saying that I will not make it, I hope one day to reach my long term goal which is playing in college. I know it is a big commitment and many hours of work and dedication are needed to be put in, I am willing to take the risk. Even though I love my sport, I am a student. I work hard in school just as much as I work in my sport. I always make sure to stay on top of my grades and have a very organized student life.
Overall, I am doing my best. I might not be the greatest athlete in the world but I like to think of myself as that. I think having the mindset of the person that you want to be in the future is how you will become that person.
