Personal Statement
Volleyball clicks in my brain. It fills my heart at a different level than other sports. I’m a planner, but volleyball teaches me to think in the moment. Also, because I love math, I even enjoy libero tracking and doing books at the ref table.
In college, I want to participate in Study Aboard, travel to other countries, and learn about their cultures and languages. My plan is to study Public Health or Social Work then work for the United Nations and help countries with environmental and health issues.
Coaches say, “I’m coachable”. I know when to be a leader and when to listen/follow. I always strive to learn new positions, plays and perfect my techniques. I’m my hardest critic. However, I’ve grown to have thicker skin and understand every mistake doesn’t make me a failure but stronger.
