Maya Hercey '18 Recruiting Profile

Volleyball has been my life for the past 4 years and I enjoy it more than anything. While I'm on the court I have a positive presence that encourages my team members to keep giving 110% during games and practices. I am determined and competitive during each set and listen to my coaches and team members' feedback so that I can be the best I can be. My coaches often say that I am very "coachable" and "quick to pick up new techniques." Although I am only 5'5 my vertical has improved and keeps improving to the best of my ability. It's not as high as I would like it to be, but with the proper training I should be able to increase my vertical. I'm quick to the ball and a consistent and dependable defensive specialist. The volleyball court is my second home and I would love to play on a team that shares my same passion for this sport.
