Personal Statement
When I was eight years old, I attended my cousin’s high school volleyball tournament at the World Congress Center. That experience changed my life. As a sixth grader, I made the middle school volleyball team. In the first game I ever played, I was hit in the face by the volleyball and got a concussion. Sitting on the sidelines while my teammates played made me even more determined to get back in the game. I have been a starter at the libero position for three years and recently made my high school varsity team as a freshman. The highlight of my experience as a volleyball player happened in January 2020 when my club volleyball team won the Rally Tournament and we received a bid for Nationals in Orlando, Florida. My goal is to play at the college level. I have focused my efforts on becoming an exceptional libero, capable of helping my team move to the next level.
