Personal Statement

Collegiate Goals and Aspirations:

I’ve always had aspirations to work in the STEM field since I was in the 5th grade. I plan to major in biology as an undergrad then, go on to dental school to become a dentist. My goal is to attend a school that has a great biology program with competitive athletics.

What makes me a good candidate for your team:

I am coachable and always willing to take constructive criticism from coaches or my peers. With being a quick learner, I can adjust to new things. I have experience with both pin hitting positions. Furthermore, I’m always willing to step in for another position if needed.

What Makes Me Different From Other Recruits in Character, Athletics, and Academics:

When I’m on the court, I’m always locked in and focused on the game. On the sidelines, I encourage and motivate my teammates to be locked in as well. I don’t only think of myself when it comes to volleyball. If I want to be very successful at what I do, I motivate my team to be as successful as I would like to be. As far as academics, I am a student before I am an athlete. I always put my academics first to be on top of things in school.

Ball Control - Quality first touch in serve recieve, and controls the ball under pressure. Tactical Abilities - 92 / 100 Vision - Court vision is very good. Constantly checking spacing and court positioning to put herself in a great position to make the play. Reading The Game - Does well seeing the play before it happens and reading the other team to help put herself in a good position on the court. Physical Abilities - 92 / 100 Speed - Great speed overall, in particular with footwork to get into position. Will be an important asset going forward. Vertical Leap - Showed a good vertical. Great job with footwork and ability to go get the ball. Mental Abilities - 97 / 100 Coachable - Responds well to coaching. Asked good questions and seemed to enjoy the learning process.
