Laura Smith '11 Recruiting Profile

My name is Laura Smith. I am a senior at Rimrock Jr. Sr. High School. I am 5'6" and 130lbs. I have played volleyball since 7th grade. I played on Jv my freshman year and both Jv and Varsity my sophmore year. I started Varsity my junior year, and I will be our schools starting setter this year. Last year we had an undefeated season and made runner-ups at district before going to state. I am very passionate about volleyball and I always push myself to work 110 percent. I also try and encourage my team to work hard, and try to be a leader off and on the court. I have been looking at schools in mostly Idaho such as, CSI and U of I. But I am open to any type of school. I have 2 brothers and 1 sister. My older brother is headed off to U of I this fall for school. Me and my younger siblings all go to the same schools and play sports. Between college loans, sports expenses, and other extracurricular activities between the 4 of us, money has become tight. I would really like to play college volleyball, to play as a freshman would be amazing, but I will work hard to improve and learn if that doesn't happen.
