Personal Statement
I am very passionate about volleyball and would love to pursue it at a higher level. I know that playing volleyball in college is a once in a life time opportunity that will change my life. This is why I always work hard and give it 110% whenever I step on the court. I believe I’m a good fit for the outside position because I am always aware of the court and what’s open.
I am a team leader and I always try to lead by example, while also encouraging my teammates. I always have a teachable attitude and strive to be one of the hardest working players on the court. I know how to keep my composure and I don’t get rattled when the game is on the line.
Academics are extremely important to me and I want to attend a school where I can push myself not only on the court, but also in the classroom. I am apart of the National Society of High School Scholars and I take all honors and AP classes.
I have been playing volleyball now for 5 years and the best is yet to come. I started off as a middle hitter and during my freshman year of high school I switched to outside hitter. I am the starting outside hitter on my club team and the starting opposite hitter on my varsity high school team where during my Sophomore year I won Most Improved Player. I always show up to practice and games ready to go and determined to push my teammates and myself to improve no matter what.
I’m open to all options and ultimately want to find the right college to compete at the highest level possible, while attending a school with rigorous academics. My love for volleyball is undeniable. I know that it takes passion, dedication, and hard work to be successful at the next level.
