I ,Adelynn, am looking for a college to pursue a career in the medical field while finding the best fit to enhance my academics as well as helping my dream of becoming a collegiate athlete a reality. I currently play multiple sports volleyball and softball for my high school and travel teams. I have played travel volleyball for 7 years and been part of a softball travel team for 10 years. I enjoy being part of a team working toward the same goal. When I started playing volleyball in the 5th grade, I just enjoyed the sport. Over the years I have come to realize I love playing volleyball so therefore I am pursuing to play at a collegiate level.
I come from a family where academics have always been a priority with my mom being an educator. Therefore I am thankful for the importance of academics were instilled in me early. I have played the libero on school teams as well as club teams. I have been told by multiple coaches that I have controlled passes, move to the ball with ease while making it look effortless. With me playing middle back, I am capable of seeing the entire court. Therefore, when I see an open line or back corner on the court I become leader by vocalizing to assist my teammates.
My goal is to compete at collegiate level and continue playing a sport I am compassionate about which is volleyball. It is not about being better than anyone else. It is about me improving my game every time I step onto the court. I love my teammates' reactions when I help them improve their game. I am pursuing a school that best fits me academically, athletically and encourages me to be the best person that I can be.
Thank you for taking the time to learn about me,
Adelynn Anderson
