My name is Lyndlee Cox and I am in the graduating class of 2028. I first began playing volleyball in 2021 (6th grade). Although I had never played before, my love for the sport grew quickly and continues to grow with every season. When my first school season was over, I knew I wanted to continue playing and improving. I tried out for a club team with Crossroads Of America Volleyball (COA) and was very excited to be able to continue volleyball for another season beyond school. Every year since, I have played for both my school and for COA. I have made steady growth over the past few years playing volleyball for both school and club and my placement on teams of a higher skill level can attest to this. This upcoming school season I will be playing OH and Setter, In past years, I've played OH, MH, OPP and DS on the court and I am also a starting player. In COA my focused position is MH but I have also played DS. I was also a starting player for COA. Playing these various positions has helped me to understand the game much better as well as gain respect for the other players and be aware of where and when I am needed during games. I plan to play hard and continue improving in the game of volleyball so that I can play at the collegiate level.
Being in the eighth grade I do not yet have an established GPA, I however have maintained honor roll every year, even reaching distinguished honor roll most years. Even though extracurricular activities keep me busy, I realize that maintaining academic focus is especially important to make me into a well rounded individual. My plan for high school is to work just as hard in class as I do on the court.
