I have always been an avid volleyball lover, my aunt coached when I was younger and I loved hearing about it! So I decided I was going to play it from then on.
I've been playing since 6th grade, I've never played on anything less than an "A" team as a starter. (MVP award every year) Last season (freshman year) in my first home game, I broke my foot when another girl fell on it. Therefore I have no stats from last season. I did however attend every practice, game, and tournament, I kept stats, and books for both JV and Varisity. I also received the mental attitude award. I played in a "fundamental" league in Evansville Indiana, after I was released.
My coach has just recently informed me that since I didn't play last season that it's not likely I'll "play much at the varsity level" this season because its unfair to the girls who played all last season. But I'm still looking forward to my season as to whatever I do
I move between Outside and Middle Hitting, I was a setter in 7th grade, but every coach after has said that I needed to be hitting. I play back row as well, I generally play the entire match. I also have a consistent jump serve.
I am very dedicated to being strong in my academics, I really enjoy learning new things. I have been wanting to be a physical therapist for a very long time, and am very determined to accomplish this goal!
I also want to play college volleyball, it may seem far fetched, but I've always had it in the back of my mind to try and make it to the olypics. If not, I'm very determined to be everything I've dreamed of and I'm very ready to accomplish these goals.
