Personal Statement
Winning second team all Conference was a big step for my volleyball career. This taught me that sacrifice, teamwork, and commitment will help you achieve your goals. Recently I had a close family friend pass away from brain cancer, which helped me push myself harder towards my goals. It taught me that you need to take any opportunities that you are given and reinforced the importance of those opportunities,
I feel I have lots of good qualities that are beneficial to a volleyball team. I always work hard, not only in sports but in all of my activities including my school work. I am currently in Biology Club and Sunshine Society, which is a club that is centered around school/community services. I volunteer my time to coach and referee elementary programs both volleyball and basketball. In 2013 I won Montpelier Jamboree Queen, a local fair competition. I am also involved in Campus Life, which is a program that allows students to get together and learn about God.
I like to be a team leader on the court and encourage my team mates. I am quick and I will sacrifice my body to go after any loose ball. I want to show my potential not only on the court but off the court with my school work and volunteer time in the community. Sports have always been in my life and it encourages me to continue to work with sports in my future. I would like to pursue a degree in the health field with possibilities including Athletic Training or Physical Therapy. I want to be successful in my life and reach my goals as a student-athlete. If you are looking for a well rounded player along with a team player then I know I have what it takes to be on your team!
