Personal Statement
My goal in volleyball is to play in national team. I have played since I was 6 years old. I love the game. I have already once played abroad and I thought that it was great when I met new team mates and I could help them to win. Playing in US is the one thing I have wanted to do since my sister was playing in NY. I'm one of the best players in my age group in Finland, I want to know how good I can grow. This autumn 2015 I'm playing Finnish Volleyball Champions League being youngest player in the league. This meant that I moved to an other city to play and start high school to pursue my dream.
I want to combine studying and playing on a high level. I'm interested in many things and studying and learning has always been easy for me. There is so many interesting things to learn. When I was doing a trainee period in healthcare technology company as part of the school work I saw that I'm very interested in sales and marketing. Combining my sales and customer service skills to health related area would be a dream job. Majoring business administrator + sales and marketing would be perfect combination on academic path.
I'm very competitive and I want to win. I work to achieve the wins. I play for the team and help them to succeed. There is nothing better than to celebrate together great wins when everybody has given their best. I’m a very social person and I get along with all kinds of people. This year I live together with players from three nationalities. I can bring to the team and to the school diversity and European perspective. If I would have three adjectives to describe me they would be ambitious, fearless and adventurous. I love to meet new people and to make as many friends as possible!
If I’m interested about something, I will do anything to accomplish that, and it means that I’m very determined with the things I’m interested about. I will bring this determination to team.
My athletic achievements are:
During my early junior years I have won silver and gold from Power Cup. Power Cup is the worlds biggest youth tournament, and it has a little bit under 10 000 attendees per year.
2012-2013 representation in Southern Finland’s team in national championships
2013 we won bronze from the national championships, and from there I got invites to the juniors national teams camps for the season 2013-2014
2015 gold from Baltic Sea Junior tournament
2015 the youngest player in Finnish Volleyball Champions League
2016 Gold in Baltic sea tournament, MVP
