Personal Statement
I bring consistency and leadership to the game and to my team. Along with being an outside hitter, I am also considered a utility player because i can play every position consistently and competitively. My coaches breath a sigh of relief when its match point and I am back to serve because they know I'm consistent. I am aggressive, can think quick on my feet, and I pay attention to the strategies of my opposing team so I can hit the open spots on the court. I think my constant drive to become a better athlete is what makes me stand out because I didn't start out as the strongest or smartest player. I have worked very hard to get where I am (academically and athletically) and don't plan on stopping!
I currently have a 4.0 GPA and I am taking advanced classes both at my high school and a nearby magnet school. I am ranked number one in my class of 200. During my free time, I volunteer at the local homeless shelter through my church youth group. I value my academics and faith and understand that both of those comes before sports. Being involved in many activities, has given me good time management skills and has taught me how to make priorities. Being the youngest in a family of 6 has taught me to never give up and to fight for what I want. I love this sport so much and would love to have the opportunity to play it at the next level!
