Trying to figure out what to say is always hard for me, but I keep going back to a Bible verse that I have known most of my life - Colossians 3:23 which says “In whatever you do: do it heartedly unto the Lord and not unto men”. I am hardworking, have a great work ethic, and am dedicated. I pride myself on outworking people and being coachable on the court. For as long as I can remember, I’ve played different sports (softball, tennis, soccer, and basketball), but, unfortunately, I wasn’t exposed to volleyball until middle school during P.E. class. I immediately fell in love with volleyball, and I even organized a petition to try and start a volleyball team at my middle school. Even though we weren’t able to get a team at my middle school, I worked hard on my own, attended camps and open gyms, and tried out for the freshman volleyball team; I was elated when I made the team! I am currently the captain of my travel club team. I am one of the first people to arrive at practice, and I’m one of the last girls off of the court. I am currently playing setter, but I am willing and able to play anywhere I can help my team. For now, I’m planning to major in General Business. I would like to attend a college that has a good mix of athletics and academics, and I am open to all levels of colleges from Junior Colleges to D1. My future goals are to play college volleyball, obtain a good education, impact a volleyball team with my leadership skills, and avoid the freshman 15 while being far away from my parents that they don’t show up at my dorm room every other day.
