My college aspiration is to become the best student athlete, while studying in the Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation program. I believe that I would be a great candidate for a volleyball team because I am someone that works well with others, effectively shows leadership in a group, and uses information/criticism given to improve my skills and become a stronger player. What sets me apart from any other student athlete is my ability to positively take in criticism and apply it to my playing skills. When playing, I always keep in mind that I’m not only playing for myself yet for my team by helping lead and motivate my teammates. Leadership is key when being a student athletes because it is a form of motivation and guidance that the team needs to stay together and work together to succeed. Although being an athlete holds a great priority in my life, I make sure that my academics are always put first. If I ever feel confused or not understanding the material being taught, I make sure that I am approaching the teacher for further explanation or receiving the extra help needed in order to succeed in that class. Being a successful student athlete and academic student at the same time is very time consuming and is a lot of hard work. I always make sure that I maintain a balance between both to continue to be the best at both a student athlete and student.
