Hey, I'm Kathryn Deist, a DS/OH in the class of 2021! I started playing volleyball when I was 11 years old, and it has been an incredible journey since then. I am still the same red-head I was in 5th grade - super competitive and eager to learn. However, over time, I have learned how to be a leader and teammate, to better accept wins, defeats, and criticism, manage my priorities, and better myself! By learning these things, I have a deeper appreciation for the community of the church, my school and city, clubs, marching and symphonic band, and of course, volleyball. I am forever thankful to God for giving me these memories and friendships the past 7 years and I wouldn't trade it for the world. The chance to study in the STEM field and play the sport I love has been my long-time dream, but the game will have an impact on me long after I graduate!
