I was born and raised in Detroit MI, and have attended Farmington public schools since 1st grade. At Farmington Harrison, I have taken a good portion of honors classes, and intend to take IB English along with dual enrollment college biology, chemistry and statistics next year (my senior year) at Oakland Community College. Interestingly, I have consistently been an honors band student for performance on the oboe, while currently maintaining a 3.2 unweighted gpa. I have a passion for health and am interested in pursuing dentistry or some other field which will allow me to work within healthcare.
I have played various positions since the start of my volleyball career in 7th grade, including outside and middle blocker/hitter. I was selected as captain of my team for my 2017 club season. As captain my upcoming senior year, I look to lead and motivate my team in a positive manner both on and off the court. I actively seek out leadership opportunities such as this, including my involvement in student council at Farmington Harrison. For the 2017 season, I was named all OAA conference.
I have matured not only academically, but also on the court with an increased volleyball IQ in areas such as attack placement and strategic ball anticipation. Starting on varsity since freshman year has given me great examples of leadership for building up a team. I very much look forward to taking it all to the next level, along with the determination required for continued success not only on the court, but also in the classroom for all of my academic pursuits. This upcoming club season, I will be playing on the u17-South National-Select team for Legacy Volleyball Club in Michigan.
My desire is to play the sport I love while excelling academically, at the collegiate level upon my 2019 high school graduation.
