Kassidy Heeringa '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi my name is Kassidy Heeringa. I am a 5'9, 143 lb right side hitter and setter from Kent City, MI. I have played volleyball since I was in 7th grade and have been a varsity starter since my freshman year.  As a sophomore I received 1st team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All Area.  As as a junior I followed it up with a 1st team All -Conference and a 1st Team All-Area.  My senior season I was 1st team All-Conference, 1st Team All- Area and 3rd Team All-State as well as the CSAA Most Outstanding Player of the Year.  I am a very powerful hitter and setter as well as an all around player. I have been pushing myself hard in the weight room this off season to prepare me for the next level and improve my power. I have an approach jump of 9'5. I am very competitive and very determined when it comes to athletics and academics. I have a 4.0 and was notified that I will be one of the class salutatorian. I also wish to continue my good grades when I reach college. I am super hard working and I always give my all in everything I do! I have loved the game of volleyball for as long as I can remember. My mom has taken stats for the varsity volleyball team since I was in 3rd grade so there weren't many games games that I missed. I remember looking up to the varsity players and wanting to be like them someday. My passion for the game is evident as soon as I step foot on the court. After high school, I have a huge desire to play collegiate volleyball and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get there. When in college, I plan to study medicine and hope to major in Physical Therapy.
