Abigail Mangus '18 Recruiting Profile

I continually strive to do my best not only in school but on the court and when I step onto the volleyball court I leave it all out there, win or lose.  I try to lead by example and I play with everything I have because I truly love the game of volleyball.  I have been playing the game as long as I can recall.  I have been on teams in the past that have dominated but to me being on teams that have struggled has only made me work that much harder to become a better player and a stronger leader.  Give me the ball and I will put it away.  I am a strategic player and I see the court and read the plays with what one of my coaches called "a maturity beyond my years".  What I lack in height and size I make up for with veracity.  My passion and dream is to play collegiate volleyball in your program where I can make a difference as part of a team but also continue to grow and excel academically as I pursue a career in Dentistry.  Strong Alone, Unstoppable Together.  I came up with the team motto last year and as a Captain I feel it not only represents me in terms of volleyball but on this journey in life.
