My name is Lindsey Sutter. I am a 2015 graduate from L'Anse Creuse High School- North. Volleyball has always been my passion. I have played for 6 years, and I have learned and enjoyed it in so many ways. It has always been a goal of mine to play volleyball at the next level. My main position is a middle hitter; however, I do hit outside and right side frequently. I am an athletic, quick middle that can run fast tempo plays. I have played middle all my volleyball career, and it has become second nature to me. I led my team in kills and blocks, and together we won our conference. I recently broke the LCN career records for kills with 651 kills. I also played for the National 17-2 team for Legacy Volleyball Club, and we took 5th at nationals.
Aside from physical ability, the game of volleyball is extremely mental. I believe I have leadership qualities and rise up in times of need. I am a vocal player that creates energy and intensity on and off the court. The ability to make decisions as a team and work together is what wins championships, and I know I can help make that happen on a team. Volleyball has taught me many valuable lessons that I will take with me to whatever school I choose to attend and for the rest of my life. Working together for a common goal, dedication, focus, believing in yourself, and passion are just a few of the mental qualities that volleyball has instilled in me over the years.
Academics have always come first. I was raised to work as hard in the classroom as I do on the court. I have received my school's academic achievement award for having a 3.5 or higher for the past 4 years. I have been named to the All Academic team for the past 4 years as well. Success in school and success on the court are what make me happiest.
