My name is Paige Donnohue, and I am a middle hitter, outside hitter, and defensive specialist for the class of 2018. I have played volleyball since I was in fifth grade. I am a versatile player and have played all positions at the varsity level. My varsity career started as a freshman playing as a right side hitter and setter, later progressing to an outside hitter. I received District honors and was named "Miss Defense" for the 2014 season. As a sophomore, my coaches approached me with the idea of changing my position to middle hitter to best meet our teams needs. Due to my motivation, team oriented values, and respect for my coaches, I was more than willing to fulfill their request. I went to an individual camp and received training on middle hitting to enable myself to excel in this position. After a minor injury mid-season, I was unable to play the last half of our schedule. It was at this time that I realized my love for the game, it inspired me to push myself further and begin the college recruitment process through NCSA. I was also awarded Conference honors even though I was unable to play the last half of our season and was voted MVP by my teammates.
I have a strong aspiration to become an art and foreign language teacher. Academics are my number one priority. My GPA is a 3.98 and I have been ranked first in my class since my freshman year. Due to my strong leadership abilities I am currently the Student Council secretary, the Vice President for FCA, and the Secretary of my class.
I believe with my versatility, coachability and strong team work ethic, I could fit in with any team that I was given the opportunity and privilege to be a part of.
