My parents are the reason I am who I am today. They have taught me to be passionate and compassionate. They taught me to be passionate about my academics and my athletics. I learned the be compassionate to my teammates, experienced and inexperienced, from my parents. I first started to fall in love with volleyball at the ripe age of 12 in 7th grade. I have learned to be more confident in my athletics, myself, and my academics. I plan on being top 5 in my class in high school. When I graduate college with my Speech-Language Pathology degree I want to have a 3.5 GPA.
My junior season of volleyball at school, there were 7 seniors on varsity. I worked so hard during club season to have a varsity spot. The senior setter didn't like that I was close to taking her. It was hard to get over, but it made me work harder than ever. I was the only junior to letter in the 2015 season. I would like to believe that I won that spot by my projecting voice, my ability, and my never-ending enthusiasm, but I think it was my love of the game and fire I brought on the the court that my coach decided to award me with a varsity letter.
