Personal Statement
I am a currently a sophomore at the University of Mississippi and a member of the Ole Miss volleyball program as a DS/L. I attended Liberty High School, 200 Blue Jay Drive Liberty, Missouri 64068. In high school I served the role of outside hitter and libero on the Blue Jay Varsity team. I played club for KC Power, in Shawnee, Kansas. Other sports played include track and basketball. I began playing recreational volleyball at the age of 9 and began club at age 12.
My collegiate goals and aspirations are to obtain a Masters in Accounting with a minor in finance and continue playing the sport I love, volleyball. My long-term goal is to utilize my degree and continue playing volleyball as long as possible. What makes me a good candidate for a collegiate women's volleyball team is that I am a defensive beast, versatile, dedicated, coachable, dependable, hardworking in the classroom and on/off the court. I am a team player and understand the importance of putting the team first. While putting the team first, I always continue working hard to achieve my own individual goals.
I am a very versatile player and willing to play any position needed for the better of the team. One of the things I believe sets me aside from other recruits is I am able to take on the role of any position I am put in and understand the responsibilities of that position. Another thing that sets me aside from other recruits is my ability to juggle academics, athletics, and social life. I also understand the meaning of student-athlete and how they are a representative of the team and college/university. I believe I will be a valuable asset on the court and in the classroom.
I am excited to obtain my goals and look forward to what the future holds.
