I fell in love with volleyball at the age of 12. I’ve tried many sports over the years and only two have stuck with me. I did karate for four years and earned my black belt, and I've now be playing volleyball for 7 years. In 5th grade, I switched schools and to make friends I joined the volleyball team, I have played ever since. Volleyball has influenced me in many ways, my coaches and teammates make me wanna be better on and off the court.
Off the court, I would say that my faith, my family and good friends influence me the most. I would consider some of my best traits include loyalty, perseverance, goal setting and follow through and I'm a good listener and do whatever the coach asks me to do, all while keeping a positive mental attitude. I love kids, whether it's babysitting or mentoring younger kids through volleyball camps, club tournaments or school activities. Obstacles in VB that I have had in the past are getting inside my head and beating myself up, a wrist injury, and concussion. Although these challenges hindered a snapshot of time over 2 club seasons, I always come back stronger from being challenged with frustrations and disappointments. I believe this is because I can self motivate and have determination and drive to continue improving to maximize my potential. I continue to get stronger each year and continue to focus on the mental aspect of the game.
My goal for high school is to make life time friends and maintain a GPA of 3.6 or higher. My goals for high school volleyball is to maintain being a captain and someone the coach depends on. I go to Lutheran High School South in South County, MO.
