Volleyball is a significant part of my life and has instilled in me the values of competitiveness, perseverance and teamwork. This last high school season, I was given the opportunity to lead our team as captain, and also help our team with 517 assists. This has given me confidence to pursue my goal to play college volleyball. My passion and commitment for the game has grown immensely throughout the 8 years that I have been playing as a setter and as a defensive specialist.
One challenging obstacle that I have had to overcome throughout my years of playing competitive volleyball is the assumption that my height limits me from taking my passion for volleyball to the next level. I have always pushed through, and proven my athleticism, competitiveness and maturity as a setter.
I would love the opportunity to continue to play volleyball as a defensive specialist or setter at the college level. I want to be challenged athletically and academically to be the best I can be.
