Personal Statement
I was exposed to volleyball at a very young age, and began playing as soon as the opportunity presented itself. Ever since I stepped off the court after my first game in the seventh grade, I knew that volleyball would be a huge part of my high school and college career. My mother encouraged me to achieve this goal, as she played volleyball all through high school and the coached for a couple years after she graduated.
I started playing volleyball in the seventh grade. I quickly moved through the ranks, making my way to the starting six of the Junior High A-team right at the beginning of my eighth grade year. My freshman year of high school, I started the JV team as a setter and weak-side hitter. My Sophomore year I started the JV team again as a setter and weak-side hitter, and also dressed out for a couple varsity games. So far in my Junior season, I have started the JV team as a setter/weak-side hitter, and a setter/middle blocker. I have also dressed out for every varsity game as an alternate.
I am outgoing, have great leadership skills, and am very competitive. I love seeing myself as well as the other people on my team reach their full potential in their position on the team. I like working with younger players to help them get better, as well. I am extremely excited to start my recruiting process with colleges in my state.
