Personal Statement
Hi my name is Sarah Spahr. I'm going to be a Junior at Milford Jr Sr High School in Nebraska. My love of the sport, volleyball, has grown in so many different ways. When I first started playing YMCA in third grade that when I know I loved this sport. Not only did I enjoy playing volleyball but watching my older sister play made me love it ten times more. In fact, the last two years of high school I was lucky enough to call her my teammate. My family has also been a huge support to my commitment with playing club volleyball. From waking up at 5am to drive to tournaments or flying to a different state they have helped me better my skills and overall be a better teammate.
As a result of this dedication, this past year I was able to compete on the highest team at my club. Along with that, I have been a two time starting middle for my high school team, winning All-Conference honorable mention my freshman year and 2nd team All-Conference last year. All of this would not be possible without my amazing teammates who push me everyday to get better and all the off season work I get the opportunity to do.
As you can see I have put a lot of time into volleyball because I love being part of a team. I love the feeling of winning match point, everyone's cheering and getting excited. Everyone working together to achieve one goal. To win.
