Middle school is when my interest in volleyball sparked, and my freshmen year in high school it turned into a dream. I want to not only do better than everybody else's bests, but to better myself everyday. Volleyball brings out the best in me as a teammate and a person. I turn into this confident person that I wish I could always be, but its on the court that I take on that personality. My academic goals are to educate myself in every athletic class possible. I want to know the human body like the back of my hand, and use that information to better myself an an athlete. Of course, I also try to make sure that my grades are as high as they can be and achieve excellence in the classroom, as well as the volleyball court. For college, I want to study the field of athletics and sports. I want to take my volleyball career as far as I can bring it. I am willing to adjust my attitude and body as need be. I've had to work very hard to get where I am now. A lot of my skills have been self-taught. I had "fill-in" coaches up until high school level. In high school, I got a taste of real volleyball. I also saw how much better everyone else was than me. Even though they were older, I still couldn't accept it. I made JV that year, and played the bench. In the off season, I realized how much this sport meant to me, and I wanted to show it. I worked hard and came back sophomore year as a starter on varsity. I know how good my volleyball skills are, and you can physically see them for yourself in the videos I post. But I know that what really makes me unique besides physical skills is my character, and my mindset of how the game should be played, and how I need to play it. I take every workout, practice, and game seriously. They all show how committed I am to it and I will show absolutely nothing but 110%.
