Elanni Romero '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Elanni Romero and I started playing volleyball about a year and a half ago. I made the JV volleyball team my first time trying out, and at the beginning of this year (Junior year) I made varsity. I decided I wanted to continue playing volleyball outside of school (club) because over the summer I played at multiple clubs with many different girls and coaches and I had finally found a place that I fell in love with, with my now GSVC team and coaches. It was recommended by my current coach of my club team that I try out for her 18s team instead of the 17s team. I had never once imagined myself improving as much as I have in such little time with teammates who feel like family. At the college level, I want to find a team that not only lifts each other but can work together as one on the court as well as having chemistry off the court. Chemistry is a huge part of the teams I have been on, good and bad and that is a big thing I look for in a team I am a part of or observing. Though I am only recently starting, I use this to my advantage to continue improving. I often remind myself how far I have come in such little time and a year from now I will remind myself once again.
