This might be something common to hear on personal statements but I've had the dream of playing college volleyball since I was a little girl. I promise you that's true to me in all aspects, and I can clearly remember myself at age 7 looking up to my big sister and her team mates thinking they're on top if the world. Seeing her play for Franklin and demolishing teams finishing as the All-District champs of 2005. Since then I started working and training, as well as making greater role models to follow such as 6'4 girls I see at club tournaments and well known local volleyball legends like Jordyn Bostic (Franklin alumni). When I hit my highschool years I already had experience to show on the court and had already joined my second club team by freshman year. Finishing both freshman and sophomore year with zero loses. I know compared to the other college candidates I'm on the short side but my vertical and DS experience makes up for it I promise. I've bounced back from a torn labrum in my shoulder, a school transfer that denied me on varsity sports participation and starting over from scratch in my volleyball clubs and changing high school teams. With that being said, I will be the most dedicated player you'll ever see and I take every moment of the court as a privilege to show you what I've got.
My educational goals are to maintain a 3.5+ GPA, and graduate with the Core 40 Academic Honors Diploma. Following high school, I intend on seeking a degree in psychology.
My athletic goals are to continue to excel in volleyball and track. I plan to keep playing on my high school women’s volleyball team, my club volleyball team, and ultimately, continue my volleyball career in college. I also enjoy track and it helps condition me. After high school my goals concerning volleyball are to play on a scholarship for my college team.
