Rachael Wells '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a 6'1" Senior from Averill Park, New York and have been playing Middle/Blocker on Varsity volleyball since my Freshman year. As a Senior, I was Captain of my volleyball team and I received the MVP award and was also selected to the Suburban Council All-Star team.  And, I have recently been accepted to play on Legion Volleyball Club's National Team to begin January 2012.  

I played volleyball with Lakeside Kaepa (Lakeside Volleyball Club) which is a Junior Olympic Volleyball Club for the 2010/2011 season which provided the highest level of court training and competition in the region and attended several tournaments including The Great Noreaster, NETS Power League Tournaments consisting of The Northeastern Elite Clubs and the East Coast Championships in May 2011.

This past Summer, I attended Kean University Elite Volleyball Camp in Union, New Jersey.  In the Summer of 2010, I attended the Pat Powers Volleyball Camp in Long Island, New York, Cornell Volleyball High Potential Camp in Ithaca, New York and University at Albany Volleyball Camp in Albany, New York.

I would love to pursue playing volleyball competitively and I am open to opportunities in all divisions. Although I live in upstate New York, I am open to exploring schools in various locations but especially on the East Coast. Ideally, I would prefer a larger size college but would consider a smaller college with an athletic environment where I can make a great impact on the team.
