2023 SpotlightPersonal Statement
My name is Pearl Kirigi, I am a senior attending Beacon High School in New York. I've been playing volleyball since 7th grade and fell in love with the sport as soon as I started playing and I have never stopped. I am playing for my school on varsity and an active club member of New York Elite Volleyball. As I look ahead towards college as I have developed a great passion for Volleyball I would like to play for a competitive team, I believe I am a great team player. Academically, I am excelling in all areas of my subjects. I have a GPA of 4.0 and am in the National Honor Society. I am a class advocate for my senior class, and I have successfully helped with fundraisers. Besides volleyball and school work, I also play the trombone fluently, occasionally, especially around the holidays, I go around the nursing homes in my community to bring cheer to their residents. I believe I am a well-rounded student and I look forward to being a member of a great college volleyball team.

- - The Boston Festival was a very exciting volleyball event, especially for my first time being there. During the festival I got to play and see other teams play from around the country, from seeing women, men, and adults play competitively in the sport.
