Nicole Wagner '18 Recruiting Profile

I have been a varsity starter as a defensive specialist/libero since my sophomore year. In only my first year as a varsity volleyball athlete, I’ve earned Most Improved Player. For my club team, I have been named MVP for two consecutive years. For the last two club seasons, I served as our team’s Captain. My club volleyball teams include: B&B Volleyball Club and Fundamental Volleyball Club.

My collegiate goals and aspirations are to find a great college that best fits me academically and athletically. I am one of the hardest working, confident, and determined girls that you will ever know. I believe that you're never out of a match until the last whistle blows. I've been on teams that had some girls that give up too easily and I know attitude is contagious. So I created a positive attitude and didn't let anyone give up, even if we were down 24-1. It must have worked because, that same season, we won regionals by 2 points in the 3rd set! I have never been one to give up and I will never let myself be that way. I definitely believe that I am unique in many ways. If someone tries to tell me I'm not good enough, well then it becomes my goal to prove that person wrong. Failure is my motivation to succeed. I hope that I can find a school to attend that stresses the importance of good academic and athletic skill, and I plan to keep pushing my hardest to find that school.
