Maxine Payton '20 Recruiting Profile

For years my passion for volleyball has grown and I am determined to continue it at the collegiate level. For my club team I am an outside hitter, but I am also considered one of our best defensive players. One of my strongest physical traits is being able to read my opponents and anticipate their next actions.

On the court, I am known for my competitive nature, which drives my desire for the next ball, play or game. I am constantly competing with the other team to win, but also with myself to improve. I am also known for my a strong belief in communication. I am a vocal leader for my team-- always talking to keep our mental game strong. While communication is undeniably a crucial aspect of this sport, understanding the importance of teamwork can be the difference between winning and losing. I am always the first to pick a teammate up and bring positive energy to our play. 

I strive for greatness on and off of the volleyball court. Throughout high school I have thrived in every AP and honors course I have taken. I truly value the balance between academics and athletics and hope to find a program that fits my goals
