My aspirations for playing at the collegiate level ignited in 8th grade when I started playing volleyball, adding to my long-standing involvement in sports since I was young. Volleyball is more than just athleticism; it's a team sport that has helped me develop character skills like communication, respect, and leadership. It challenges me mentally, builds my problem-solving abilities, and enhances my mental toughness, benefiting me both on and off the court.
As a sophomore at Lansing High School, I was a starter on the Varsity Volleyball team. Together, we achieved the 2023 NYSPHSAA Class B State Championship, marking our program's first state championship win! This year, I received 1st Team All-Conference and 2nd Team All-State awards. While my primary position is outside hitter, I can play other positions. I am dedicated, hardworking, passionate, and known for being a supportive teammate and coachable player. I give my all at practice and go above and beyond to improve my skills outside of practice. Additionally, I play club volleyball for VolleyFX and have had the opportunity to develop further at the IMG Academy in Bradenton, FL.
The dedication I exhibit in volleyball extends to my academics. I consistently achieve honor roll status and strive for excellence in my grades. Balancing my academics and extracurricular activities is my priority, and I find joy in volunteering for organizations like Feed My Starving Children and the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention. While I haven't chosen a major yet, education is crucial to my future success. I aim to find the best college fit that allows me to play at the highest level possible.
