Hi! My name is Cleo and I am a Junior at the academically renowned Hunter College High School in NYC.
When I'm not playing volleyball, I'm often found working with varying members of my community. In addition to completing over 150 hours of community service, I am a Campus Captain (ambassador) of The Hidden Opponent, a Non-Profit organization that advocates for the destigmatization of athletes discussing their mental health. I additionally founded the first and only (as of Jan. 2024) high school chapter of the organization in NYC. I am also a board member of the "Feminist Future Club" and "Hunter for Bright Futures": a philanthropy club fundraising to allow for easier access to education for children in need. I am also passionate about my work writing for two newspapers at my high school and pride myself on my work as a "Big Sib" for younger students at my school. I also enjoy volunteering as a math tutor for young girls in NYC! Additionally, I can often be found helping coach the middle school volleyball teams or running various sports clinics for my community with the help of my Athletic Director.
I plan to put the skills I have acquired through these activities to work in the future by hopefully majoring in Sociology, Psychology, or Behavioral Science.
Lastly, I always enjoy playing softball, piano, or singing in my school choir.
I'm looking forward to what comes next!
