Ava Reilly '27 Recruiting Profile

My name is Ava Reilly. I am 16 years old and I have been playing volleyball since the 7th grade. I fell in love with the sport immediately. I am currently in 10th grade and I have started at the varsity level since 8th grade. In 8th grade I was the starting libero and we reached the New York State Championship and placed second in the state at Class C. It was an amazing experience. After the season I was awarded Rookie of the Year for my league. In 9th grade I played setter for my varsity team and I was ranked 4th in assists on Long Island (Newsday). This year (10th grade) I am again the setter on my school team. While I set for my school team, I have always played libero in club volleyball and will play again this year for the Long Island Volleyball Club (LIVBC). I am always excited to play at the highest level of competition. In school I take several advanced and AP classes and maintain an unweighted average of 95%. I love to stay active. Volunteer work is also important to me. I have accumulated many hours of service helping younger kids learn how to play volleyball. I am also a member of the Varsity Club at school. The Varsity Club is a volunteer organization that helps with community events. My secondary sport is golf and I have started on the varsity team since 7th grade. I am CPR and lifeguard certified and this past summer I worked as a lifeguard at my local town beach. My goal is to play at the collegiate level because I love the sport of volleyball and being a part of a team.
