Personal Statement
When I was 13 I tried out for my modified team. I did not make the team. A week later, I went to a club volleyball practice, and was offered a spot on the Paradigm 14's team. Coach Denk saw potential and even though some would have quit trying when they didn't make their school team, it actually turned out to be a positive. I have continued to set goals team by team year by year. I find opportunities to get stronger both on and off the court. What matters to me is that I give myself and my team 100% every time. I have accomplished so much, not just because of the talent he saw for the future me, but because of hard work, extra hours, and going hard during practice every time. In my mind hard work beats talent, and that's what I would bring to a college team. I will always give 100% and reach for the next goal we set as a team.
