Madison Monahan '18 Recruiting Profile

Growing up I was always involved in all kinds of sports: Soccer, Basketball, Gymnastics and years of Dance classes.  In Middle School I tried out for 7th Grade Volleyball and was so happy I made the team - by the end of my 8th Grade season I was hooked!  I joined Downstate Volleyball and made the 14 Blue Aspire team and by the next fall I was a starter on Varsity at North Rockland High School, a 2A school with 3,200 students. 

For the next four years I played on the National team at Downstate.  My Downstate 17 team played in many regional and national tournaments, winning the gold medal in three of them, and the silver in the Big South Qualifier.  We qualified for the National Championship Tournament in Minneapolis for the second year in a row.  My final Downstate 18 team won the Northeast Qualifier in Philadelphia.

I was the starting outside hitter for Palm Beach State Junior College.  I led the team in kills and points and received 2nd Team All Conference.  

I am currently a senior and was the starting OH for St. Francis College Brooklyn. I have 2 more years of eligibility.
