Personal Statement
My name is Lauren Ashlee Owen. I am currently a senior at East Henderson High School in Hendersonville, North Carolina. I am maintaining a 3.75 unweighted GPA. I take honors classes in Science, Math, and History. As a sophomore I was privileged to start on the Varsity team. My team took fourth in the state that season. The season of my junior year my team made it to the first round of the playoffs. Also, my junior year I received an All Conference Award. I am 17 years old, 160 pounds and six feet tall. I play middle hitter and blocker. I am also a good outside hitter, passer and back row player. I have attended a UNC Chapel Hill All Skills camp. I have also attended many other local volleyball camps. The 2009 club season I played for a 16's WNC (Winning iN Christ) team. I also played in a few tournaments with the 17's team as well. in 2010 I played for the WNC 17's team. This is my seventh year playing volleyball. In July of 2009 I particitated in the Miss Teen of North Carolina Scholarship and Recognition Program.
