Sunshine Volleyba...Personal Statement
I have been playing sports since I was in Kindergarten. Having a twin brother as well as 2 younger sisters, I am always driven to be competitive, but also to be a role model. I was raised to be humble and to celebrate my accomplishments with sportsmanship. While the sport of volleyball is relatively new compared to previous sports I have played, I have picked up the game very fast, and have proven to be a strong player on my team.
I have great court vision, and am an excellent blocker. I am very energetic and lively during practice and games, but I know the appropriate time to be focused. I am very coachable, and often absorb information from coaches the first time instruction has been given.
At school I challenge myself by taking high level honors and AP classes. I am not afraid to seek help if I am confused, and have a good relationship with all of my teachers.
Playing college volleyball has been a goal of mine the moment I stepped on the court. I am open to all options, and I want to find the right school that balances volleyball and academics, and has a high level of competition.

- AwardsI have been on the Honor Roll since 6th grade, and in 8th grade, I earned an Academic and Athletic Sportmanship Award, given out to one female of the graduating class. I currently take all honors and AP classes.
- ActivitiesI attend Lake Norman High School, and play on the women's Varsity team. In addition I play for LKN 16 Elite. Over the summer I swim, and play beach volleyball, and have a job working as a camp counselor at the Lowes YMCA. I am a member of various clubs, including Student Council, Crosby Scholars, FCA, and Food for Families.
