Sarah Sikula '13 Recruiting Profile

I am a 5'10" Junior from Bowling Green, Ohio. I am currently an six rotation outside hitter at the national level for the Premier volleyball Academy.   I have many personal goals this season which include working hard as a hitter while also improving my passing as I strive to become an even stronger all around threat on the floor.  In the fall seasons I compete for Bowling Green High School, a division 1 school in Bowling Green, Ohio which competes in the Northern Lakes League. I was a starting Varsity player both my Freshman and Sophomore seasons. I helped lead my team to two of its seven consecutive league championships, one district championship and my Freshman year we finished the year ranked 18th in the state. Last year I had 132 kills ,26 blocks, and 48 digs . I was voted to 2nd Team All League Honors, All Wood County Honors, as well as making the Ohio High School Volleyball Association(OHSVA) 2010 best players list. I was also recently honored with making the prepvolleyball.com Sophomore 79 list and was also chosen for the 2011 best players in AAU. This year I am once again a starter for my high school team and we hope to make it to the final four in the state tournament. I am looking to continue my volleyball career at the collegiate level to the highest of my abilities.  In college I plan to major in Education  or fashion merchandising and am looking to attend a school that has a strong program. I have just started my search and am open to exploring schools where I could make an immediate impact.
