Angela Fisher '12 Recruiting Profile

I am a Senior at Celina High School, my height is 5'8", and I weigh 140 pounds. I played on the Junior Varsity team my freshman year and I dressed for the Varsity games, where we made it to Regional Finals in Division II. My freshman year, my coach told me that I was ready to play Varsity, but unfortunatly I was behind two returning Junior starting setters, so I spent the whole next summer conditioning and working hard to make sure I would get a spot, and sure enough I earned a spot on the varsity team as a starting setter my sophomore year, beating out one of the senior setters. My sophomore year I played full time on Varsity. Our team had a record of 21-6, and we made it to Regional Semi-Finals and were Conference Champs. When I want something, I don't stop until I get it. My junior year, we ran a 5-1, making me the only setter. Our team won our Conference and made it to Regional Semi-Fials. I was awarded First Team All Conference, First Team All District 8, 2010 Celina Volleyball Offensive Award, and Scholar Athlete Award my junior year. This summer, my high school team has competed in the Friendship Cup where we placed first and I was awarded with tournament MVP. For my senior year we made it to Regional Semi Finals and won our Conference. My awards for the season include: First Team All Conference, Conference Player of the Year, First Team All District, District Player of the Year, Second Team All Ohio, Offensive Award, Team MVP, and Scholar Athlete. I would like to go to college somewhere around Ohio, like Indiana, Michigan, Pennsylvania, Kentucky, or West Virgina. I don't want to exclude any other opoortunities, but I would like to stay closer to Ohio. I would like to go to a medium/smaller school, I am open to a Christian school and I am open to any division level. I am undecided on a major. I would like to play my first year in college. Division of the school doesn't make a difference, I just love to play. I believe that I could be a great asset to a team.
