Amelia Smith bio:
Junior at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio. As a junior, college searching can be a challenge. My focus has been the undergraduate courses offered by the colleges. As my skills progress with my love for volleyball, I hope to continue to play in college. My goal is to study in the Science Departments with a possible focus in chemistry.
Information about myself: I started playing volleyball in the 3rd grade for CYO and JO volleyball, which makes this year my 9th season. Prior sports played are soccer and softball from 3rd grade untill 7th grade. I have taken training classes and attended a few training camps. I also play sand volleyball at the Sandbox in Broadview Heights, OH. Currently, I am playing JO at Eastside Cleveland Juniors (Mentor, OH) on the 18’s team. I have played up for three years now and enjoy the competitive speed at the higher levels. During JO season my main position is libero and I serve during all games. During my freshman year of high school, I played all around right side. As I moved into my sophomore year, my skills were better utilized as libero on the varsity team. I earned Honorable Mention All-Conference during my sophomore year at Walsh Jesuit High School in Cuyahoga Falls, OH (Division I). Today, I am still starting libero on the varsity team. This high school season I earned Second Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-District. Growing up I was the youngest of 4 girls, which only added to my competitive spirit and positive attitude. I hope to be able to continue my volleyball career in college.
My graduating year is May of 2021. Please let me know if you will have the libero or defensive specialist positions available. I encourage you to contact my High School, JO, and Sand Coaches. Please find their contact information below:
